Shadow pensions minister Rachel Reeves has been named in the Institute for Public Policy Research's (IPPR) Northern Lights Top 50 list.
Northern Lights takes a ‘wider look at where ideas, innovation and inspiration will come from over the next few years as the North of England seizes the challenges and opportunities ahead'. This is its first edition.
Reeves, the first woman to hold a seat in Leeds since 1970, sits on the Business, Innovation and Skills committee and is the Labour spokesperson on pensions issues.
The list includes: MPs, entrepreneurs, academics, writers, councillors, community activists and business leaders.
