Investec considers sale of Rensburg fund business

Investec could offload Rensburg Fund Management after receiving a number of expressions of interest in the business.

Rensburg Fund Management was acquired by Investec after the South African group bought the parent company Rensburg Sheppards. The group runs five funds and houses highly regarded managers Colin Morton, Mark Hall, Paul Spencer, Richard Bullas and Stuart Sharp. The board of Investec has appointed Fenchurch Advisory Partners to advise on strategic options for RFM. "As part of the strategic review, Fenchurch will assess and test the appetite from third parties for acquiring RFM through a structured process," Investec says.
