Liontrust has appointed former Artemis stalwart Nick Wells as a business development consultant.
In the newly created role, Liontrust says Wells will contribute to the development of a number of parts of the business, including product development and planning for the implementation of the RDR.
Wells was previously product and communications director of Artemis until he retired from the company in March. He previously worked for ABN Amro Asset Management and Baring Asset Management.
Wells says Liontrust reminds him of the early days at Artemis.
"The fund management capability at Liontrust is strong with good core funds that can demonstrate matching performance numbers," he says.
"There are good quality people throughout the business and there is a great opportunity to help build Liontrust."
