Former IFAP chief David Elms dies

David Elms, the former chief executive of IFA Promotion, died on Tuesday following a short battle with cancer.

Elms, who led the group for a decade, stood down from the role in October last year. Under his leadership, the company worked tirelessly to promote the benefits and accessibility of independent financial advice through Unbiased.co.uk. Elms founded its online ‘Find an IFA' search tool and oversaw last year's launch of a professional networking service for advisers.
