Skandia has established two new support teams to provide technical assistance to advisers and help them make the most of its Investment Solutions platform.
The Technical Specialists team will support advisers at local level and will merge with Skandia's technical specialists. The team of 13 will cover pensions, platforms, trusts & tax and protection.
The move comes after the platform announced in November the closure of nine of its regional offices, employing a team of 100 business consultants.
"Harnessing this into one team will ensure feedback from financial advisers will be built into Skandia's proposition development plans and that Skandia's product, tax and financial planning insights are shared effectively with financial advisers," says Skandia.
The Online Adoption team consists of nine people charged with helping advisers gain maximum benefit from the Skandia Investment Solutions platform. The hands-on support will be provided locally at advisers' offices.
"The formation of these two new teams is part of our wider support service for financial advisers," says Skandia chief development officer Peter Mann.
"Platforms can deliver significant benefits for financial advisers and their clients, but we also understand the pressures that advisers face in adopting a platform without disrupting their existing business processes.
