BlackRock has reduced the annual management charge on the retail share classes of six Luxembourg-listed funds by 25 basis points.
The changes, which came into effect on 9 October, apply to BGF Emerging Europe, BGF European Opportunities, BGF Japan Small and MidCap Opportunities, BGF World Financials, BGF World Healthscience, and BGF World Technology.
For five of the six funds, the AMC has dropped to 1.5% from 1.75%, while the fee on BGF Emerging Europe is now 1.75% from 2%.
Jackie Beard, Morningstar's director of UK fund research says: "We are delighted to see these reductions as investors will undoubtedly benefit. While the funds' absolute fees cannot be said to be low, the move is clearly in favour of investors and much to BlackRock's credit."
