Novia has launched an analysis tool to enables advisers to better tally client portfolios with their risk profiles.
Model Portfolio Evaluator (MPE) allows comparison between client portfolios and hypothetical portfolios drawn up by the adviser with different risk profiles, such as cautious through to a more adventurous strategy.
Novia says the tool will benefit both adviser and client because it "illustrates in a readily understandable format" how client portfolios - which can become out of sync over time - match their risk and reward profile.
Furthermore, says Novia sales director Paul Boston, the comparison tool is ready-made for the RDR.
"As the RDR becomes more of a reality, the ability to use an integrated investment process to analyse, create and deliver portfolio management effectively and efficiently is essential."
