Arch Financial Planning has introduced a foreign exchange service on its website in order to boost its client proposition.
The service allows individuals, companies, charities and investors to make simple international payments and exchange currencies 24 hours a day.
It is provided by international payments provider FTT Global, which has the technology to keep costs much lower than most High Street banks, according to Arch managing director Arthur Childs.
He says the firm introduced the service to meet client demand, including the growing number of people looking to buy second homes abroad.
Underwritten by A-rated insurer Hiscox to the tune of £1m per claim, Childs says he is comfortable promoting the payment system on Arch's website, but ultimately the adviser firm takes no responsibility for any transactions a client may place.
"We are desperately trying to improve our website to make it work beyond a brochure and get it interacting with clients more," Childs says. "This is one way we can do this."
The Arch website already includes guides and information on a full range of issues including investments, savings, pensions, insurance, mortgages and equity release and taxation. It also provides access to an online quotation service and blogs on a range of issues.
Arch Financial Planning won Professional Adviser's Baillie Gifford Education Award in 2008 and was Highly Commended in 2009.
