MetLife has appointed a former Hartford sales director to drive its growth plans in the UK IFA market.
Andy Marks will join Metlife in the newly created post of business development director, reporting directly to UK managing director, Dominic Grinstead.
Marks will take responsibility for developing opportunities among MetLife's existing IFA partners and forging relationships with new sales channels in the run up to the RDR.
Previously, Marks was managing director of sales at The Hartford, which withdrew from the UK market in May this year.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Marks worked for Canada Life for nine years and has 24 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Both MetLife and The Hartford specialise in third way annuities, combining investment growth potential with income guarantees.
Grinstead says: "We are delighted Andy has chosen to join MetLife and are confident his strong track record and experience in the financial services industry will be a major asset."
