Two men have pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a Barclays Wealth executive during a fight after a night out in Norwich.
Frank McGarahan, COO of Barclays Wealth, had intervened in the fight but was punched in the face and knocked to the ground. He died in hospital the following day.
Tom and Ben Cowles, brothers from Costessey near Norwich, both pleaded guilty to the charge at Norwich Crown Court today.
Mr McGarahan, along with his brother and cousin, were attempting to stop another man from being assaulted by the brothers.
The judge, Mr Justice Saunders, told the court a manslaughter plea was appropriate, though it would be disappointing for Mr McGarahan's family.IFAonline
