Residents and trusts based in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are now able to access Standard Life.
The international bond, managed and serviced in Dublin, will allow advisers and clients to choose from a range of mutual funds, discretionary fund managers, deposit accounts and a whole of market option.
Launched in the UK in March 2007, Standard Life says the bond offers a “transparent charging structure for customers and flexible commission options for financial advisers”.
Standard Life European development head Murray Drummond says the company is looking to take the bond into other territories and markets.
“The islands’ markets are a natural first step given the well established regulatory environment and the significant volumes of business written in these jurisdictions,” he says.
“Over the coming months we will be evaluating business opportunities in mainland Europe to further develop our offshore presence.”
