Chief investment officer at Insight Investment, Abdallah Nauphal has been appointed deputy chief executive.
Insight says the new role is in addition to his current responsibilities.
Nauphal's new role will see him lead the development of the firm’s strategic business plan alongside his investment management responsibilities.
Nauphal joined Insight following the acquisition of Rothschild Asset Management in 2003. Initially managing director of fixed income business, he became chief investment officer in September 2003 with overall responsibility for the investment management team. Previous roles include head of fixed income for Schroder Investment Management.
Announcing this appointment, Insight chief executive Douglas Ferrans has said: "As an investment led business, we continue to focus on providing investment solutions for our clients. Fund management and solution provision are at the core of our business proposition and it is key that the deputy chief executive has an investment focus. "Abdallah has achieved a great deal in re-invigorating our investment platform since joining Insight at the start of 2003 and I look forward to his increased contribution to the development of our business and achievement of our objectives."
