Credit Suisse replaces European equities head

Credit Suisse head of European equities Jeff Currington is set to leave the firm to 'pursue other opportunities'.

He will be replaced by Cesar Perez, who joins from M&G Investment Management where he was head of European equities. Perez will report to Kim Goodwin, global head of equities. Currington's European retail fund has underperformed its benchmark regularly in recent years, according to Lipper stats. He joined Credit Suisse in July 2005 after stints at HSBC and Morely Fund Managers. Perez will manage an eight-strong European equities team based in London, Zurich and Paris and will lead the firm’s European equity business.
