Axa up for nine LifeSearch protection awards

Axa dominates the nominations for the 2009 LifeSearch Protection Awards after scooping six trophies last year.

The insurer is up for nine gongs, including best overall provider, best service provider and the TCF award, while Legal & General (L&G) is nominated six times after bagging two awards last year. Axa will be fighting it out with Fortis and Royal Liver for most improved provider and the latter two are also in line for best new initiative alongside PruProtect. Best critical illness provider will be one of Axa, BUPA or Royal Liver while best income protection provider will be Friends Provident, LV= or Pioneer.
