Vantage, the wealth management and private client broker modular platform launched by Investmaster Limited is claiming to be the UK's first MiFID compliant solution of its kind.
The Microsoft Windows-based solution is said to be of the end-to-end variety, enabling front-office decision support through to settlement and custody.
It is designed on modular principles, meaning it can be used for specific parts of business too for those who do not want the full solution.
The platform’s eight modules provide access to portfolio management, CGT, settlement, CREST connectivity, trading, document management and reporting. An additional module enables customer relationship management through storage of client information and relationship tracking in order to meet know-your-client and suitability rules.
The ability to rapidly access client data forms part of the claim to being MiFID compliant, enabling improved levels of customer service.
Differentiating service levels from the norm will be more important in a larger pan-European market, Investmaster says.
According to the company’s website dedicated to MiFID issues in the wealth management and institutional markets there are three areas where the new regulatory requirements will hit hardest: client relationship management (KYC, agreement letters and document management), portfolio management (suitability, performance measurement and risk profiling), and trade management (execution, trade audit and reporting).
