Legal and General Investment Management has just confirmed Roger Bartley will head up its fixed income asset management team which includes the launch of a new operation in Chicago.
A statement issued by L&GIM confirms Bartley – who was chief investment officer for fixed income at Gartmore before the management buyout – will be global head of fixed income with responsibility for over £80bn of assets. His role will include overall responsibility for a team in Chicago focused on US investment grade fixed income while John Bender, the former head of US investment fixed income at Aegon, will head the team in Chicago. Bartley is taking up the position left open by John Monckton who was murdered at his home last November. IFAonline
