Advisers can now recommend up to £1m worth of critical illness (CI) cover to clients through progress from Royal Liver after the firm enhanced its proposition.
The increased maximum cover, double the original amount, is available for advisers recommending level or decreasing life cover, with a corresponding increase for family income cover, with accelerated critical illness cover.
Stephen Edwards, head of protection products at progress, says: “This gives advisers the opportunity to recommend a £1m sum assured on critical illness cover to customers, without them having to worry about managing the issues that automatic GP report limits bring, no matter what their customer’s age is.
“This means advisers can recommend up to £1m worth of critical illness cover to customers whilst also taking advantage of in-depth tele-underwriting, conducted by experienced underwriters, who only ask questions that are relevant, saving the customer time and the adviser both time and money.”
Quotes and literature are now available for download to advisers who can use the e-only protection service via The Exchange and Assureweb portals and the progress from Royal Liver literature library here.
