Former BlackRock fixed income director Kevin Craig has joined Alliance Trust as investment manager of global emerging markets.
The firm says Craig’s role will be to continue building it’s involvement in Asia Pacific markets as well as widening its influence in other emerging regions.
Craig spent a decade at BlackRock where he was responsible for emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He then went on to cover Latin America and was manager of the BlackRock Emerging Markets fund.
Alliance Trust chief investment officer, Katherine Garrett-Cox, says: “Kevin brings with him a wealth of investment knowledge and experience.
“His appointment will create new capability for us to build upon existing emerging markets ability within Asia and to expand into new areas.”
Craig adds: “Joining Alliance Trust presents an exciting opportunity for me to join a rapidly growing investment group as it diversifies into new emerging markets.
“I am looking forward to guiding Alliance Trust towards these new regions and adding depth to the investment areas where the company is currently operating.”IFAonline
