IT provider Distribution Technology has launched DP Elements, a set of components within its Dynamic Planner tool offers high levels of customisation.
The new components mean users can build and customise their own financial and investment planning tools within the Planner product without resorting to costly bespoke customisation.
Distribution Technology says the customisation strengthens its claims to providing holistic and flexible wealth management solutions. Customisable features include risk profiling, asset allocation, stochastic modelling and portfolio construction.
Other components include page layouts, and graphing, report and suitability templates.
Elements’s users will including life and pensions providers, wrap platforms, wealth managers and banks, which are looking to create ‘unique’ approaches and advice processes for their financial advisers.
Pushing adoption of Elements in the industry will be Alan Carter in his role as newly appointed head of implementation. Ben Goss, managing director, says the launch of the latest software capabilities supports other changes by the IT provider, such as enabling on and off-line fact-finding in the Microsoft Windows operating system environment. This should make it easier for advisers to access applications off-line at point of sale, Goss adds.
