A business coaching service for financial advisers, which aims to make them more profitable and have an improved quality of life, has been launched by Great Coaching Services.
The firm says the service – Great Business Coaching – has evolved from the needs of IFAs who are fed up with working long hours, feel they are over-regulated, are not earning as much as they once did and who are not having as much fun in their work as they used to.
Great Business Coaching teams up coaches with IFAs to deliver a tailored programme to suit each individual adviser or team’s needs. Advisers can do an online assessment, which highlights the areas they need to work on, followed by a free initial consultation.
But the firm has also found common needs among advisers, whether they are on commission only or salaried, relating to finding clients; doing a technical job which their clients rarely understand; trying to deliver a service which is often dependent on third parties such as product providers; and keeping an eye on cash flow or targets.
Furthermore, despite the increase in regulation, there is still a perception financial advisers are just sales people and the firm says this can lead to potential clients going to well-known brands for advice, even where that advice could be restricted.

Instead out understanding of the industry, combined with our coaches’ skills in helping others to be the best they can, results in our clients achieving a more profitable business, with greater certainty for their future and more time doing what is motivating, rewarding and fun.”
