Standard Life is to launch a marketing campaign for its SIPP, to be fronted by celebrities Marco Pierre White, Mariella Frostrup and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
Standard Life chose its celebrity line-up because they "epitomise the characteristics of those over 44 year olds to whom a SIPP product would be most relevant."
Active money launches on Monday 26 January, and aims to develop insights into Standard Life's target customers, understand their needs and develop relationships with advisers.
Andrew Gillespie, managing director of Standard Life marketing, says: "The concept of retirement and debate around how to fund it has fundamentally changed.
"We recognised that we had to respond and transform how we communicate and engage customers with long term financial planning."
The SIPP campaign is supported by dedicated resources for adviser firms, available through Standard Life's adviserzone website from 26 January, and the campaign will appear across billboards and national print media.
"The active money SIPP campaign demonstrates our continued commitment to advisers," Gillespie adds.
"The current turmoil across the financial markets has meant that investments are under more scrutiny, making the relationship between customer and adviser more critical than ever before."
