AXA was named best overall provider as it bagged six trophies at the LifeSearch Protection Awards 2008.
The firm also won most improved provider, best new initiative and best underwriting team, as well as the coveted TCF award. AXA’s Naomi Greatorex won best invidual impact.
Legal & General toasted winning the best service provider and best e-commerce provider awards, while BUPA won best critical illness provider and Pioneer best income protection provider.
In addition, best marketing and communications team went to AEGON Scottish Equitable.
Royal Liver, nominated in all but one category, will feel aggrieved to finish empty-handed, particularly in the TCF award.
Now in their fifth year, the LifeSearch Protection Awards were announced yesterday at the Hiscox Arts Café in London.
Tom Baigrie, managing director of LifeSearch, says: “The awards are voted for on a one person one vote basis among all relevant LifeSearch staff.
“So it’s the people who deal with the life offices day in, day out, who ultimately decide the result and not a panel of judges, which means it’s a true reflection of LifeSearch’s experiences with the providers.
“All the winners can feel proud that their success is a true measure of their hard work over the past year.”
