Dunfermline announces new chief exec

Dunfermline Building Society has announced Jim Willens, currently chief operating officer at the group, is to become the new chief executive.

He replaces Graeme Dalziel who will retire at the end of the year. Willens, a former board director at Nationwide Building Society, joined Dunfermline earlier this year. He takes up his new post on 1 January 2009. He says: "Dunfermline Building Society is an important and valued institution within Scotland and the UK building-society sector. The management and our people will continue to do their utmost to protect and enhance the interests of our members in these challenging times. "We will continue in 2009 to focus on the needs of our members and on our core market of Scotland." ...
