AEGON scores in Ajax link-up

AEGON has announced it will become the main sponsor of Amsterdam football giants Ajax from next season.

In a move to expand its international presence, the AEGON name will appear on the club’s world-famous red and white kit for at least seven years. AEGON N.V board member Johan van der Werf says AEGON and Ajax share strong ambitions and a similar outlook. “Just like AEGON, Ajax has strong roots in the Netherlands but is recognised around the world,” he says. “For many years, Ajax has been one of the leading teams in Europe and we are honoured to have the opportunity to sponsor such a renowned and quality soccer club."
