Nearly nine in 10 Unipass users say the system saves them a minimum of one hour per week, Origo research suggests.
In its annual Unipass user survey, the eCommerce standards body found 88% of users believe Unipass reduces user administration and slightly more found financial websites easier to use with the system.
Unipass provides easier access to industry websites, eliminating the need for multiple user names and passwords.
More than three quarters of the 6,000 users surveyed also say Unipass increases daily productivity. Origo says 89% of respondents were from IFA firms.
"Unipass is widely used in the life and pensions industry simply because it increases both productivity and security, is easy to use and it’s free to intermediaries,” Origo managing director Paul Pettitt says.
“Origo’s focus for 2008 is to drive further uptake of Unipass, as a significant proportion of this year’s survey participants have again said that Unipass would be beneficial for mortgage business.”
