Orbiter Group has confirmed its online sourcing and compliance system will be able to search for direct-only products, enabling brokers to work on a fee basis if desired.
Orbiter says it has chosen to implement the new system in response to the ongoing problem of dual-pricing in the market.
Those brokers using Orbiter’s sourcing system will be able to source prime and specialist deals, and will have the ability to include or omit non-intermediary products in their searches.
Pete Thompson, marketing director at Orbiter Group, says: “It has become apparent that some advisers are looking to offer their clients a service that includes the guarantee to recommend High Street solutions if they feel this is appropriate.
“By including these products on Orbiter we are enabling advisers to serve their clients the way they want to. Brokers who do not wish to source these products can simply choose to filter them out.”
Orbiter is now the second sourcing system, after Home Buyer Systems, to offer direct-only product information in its searches.
