Barings has appointed former Gartmore retail distribution chief Rod Aldridge as its UK retail sales head.
Responsible for growing Barings’ business with UK intermediaries, Aldridge begins in mid-September and will report to European sales and client service head Rob Lay.
Aldridge, who left Gartmore in January, held similar posts at Threadneedle and Rothschild and was a key player in the establishment of Cofunds.
“I am very excited by the proposition at Barings which has a highly regarded range of funds that have seen considerable growth globally over the last few years,” Aldridge says.
“The funds Barings offers are perfectly suited to those areas with the strongest growth potential for the foreseeable future.”IFAonline
