Thinc Group has hired The Young Company principal David Young as its head of group compliance.
He has over 30 years experience in compliance and corporate governance specialising in financial services including from 1996 as principal and director of The Young Company.
During his career, Young has provided senior level help and regulatory consultancy for firms regulated by the FSA, including service on the board of a life assurance company and key appointments as director of compliance for a number of major firms including a FTSE 100 banking group.
He also has experience supporting major firms in complex advisory and change management assignments and has previously held posts as a director at Merchant Investors Assurance.
Young comments: “I believe that my experience will enable me to guide the company through the increasingly complex regulatory regime in an efficient, effective and productive manner.”
An added tier of asset management can of course deliver additional benefits for certain investors, writes Graham Bentley - just be sure you can justify it to the regulator and, especially, the client
The government is "in daily contact" with industry figures over the pensions dashboard as it prepares for the roll-out and its feasibility report, Guy Opperman has said.
