Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has bolstered its European equity team with the appointment of Chris Clarke as investment director.
Clarke, who will be based at the Edinburgh office and report to head of European equities Steven Maxwell, will be responsible for research, analysis and portfolio construction and management.
He brings over seven years of European equity experience to the role, following an investment manager post at Alliance Trust.
His appointment to SWIP’s European equity team follows that of Greig Bryson in November last year.
Steven Maxwell says: “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the team.
“He has established a solid track record investing in European equities and his fund management style is driven by focused research, which is an excellent fit with SWIP’s investment process.”
