Abbey for Intermediaries and Alliance & Leicester Intermediary Sales have revealed full details of their merged intermediary team.
As a result of the Abbey's purchase of A&L, senior management teams have been restructured so both now form a single team focused on intermediaries.
David Bennett, formerly group chief executive of Alliance & Leicester, will take executive responsibility for the combined division as executive director, alongside his role as integration adviser.
Ricky Okey, managing director of Abbey for Intermediaries, will report into Bennett as managing director of intermediary distribution and will oversee a combined Abbey and Alliance & Leicester business and management team.
The new intermediary division will be responsible for the co-ordinated management of the two businesses, though the firms emphasised that at this stage no further decisions have been made on any further integration between the two operations, with both continuing to operate as independent companies.
Okey said: “These changes, which are effective from today, will place us in a strong position to develop and grow our position and presence in the UK Intermediary market. Both the Abbey and Alliance & Leicester intermediary teams will be maintaining a ‘business as usual’ approach.”
“Intermediaries can expect the same competitive products and good service that they have come to rely on from both teams.”Mortgage Solutions
