Abbey and A&L merge broker teams

Abbey for Intermediaries and Alliance & Leicester Intermediary Sales have revealed full details of their merged intermediary team.

As a result of the Abbey's purchase of A&L, senior management teams have been restructured so both now form a single team focused on intermediaries. David Bennett, formerly group chief executive of Alliance & Leicester, will take executive responsibility for the combined division as executive director, alongside his role as integration adviser. Ricky Okey, managing director of Abbey for Intermediaries, will report into Bennett as managing director of intermediary distribution and will oversee a combined Abbey and Alliance & Leicester business and management team.
