A website where consumers can search for and rank regulated financial advisers has launched.
Set for a full roll-out in January, wealth management site Rubii.co.uk enables consumers to search through a database of advisers, general planners and wealth managers - as well specialists in tax, pension, mortgage and investment.
Rubii.co.uk says consumers can publicly rank advisers and comment on the quality of their service, in a bid to help transparency in the industry.
Highly ranked advisers will receive a more prominent position on the site and in search results, elevating the potential for new business.
Rubii.co.uk says it hopes the ranking facility will incentivise professionals to provide top service on an ongoing basis to maintain their strong rating. It believes the feature will give consumers confidence when it comes to choosing an adviser.
Advisers can register free to create a profile, providing their own information. A fee will be charged if they accept a meeting with the user.
Toby Goldblatt, director of Rubii.co.uk, says he recognises it can be a daunting task for an individual to find the right financial adviser to meet their needs in such a crowded and competitive market.
“We believe that by empowering consumers to openly and honestly rate the advisers on our site, this will ensure our members will always be motivated to provide the best possible service," he says.
“Rubii.co.uk is about creating transparency and trust."
