IFA technology support provider Direct Life & Pension Services (DLPS) has added PruProtect's Life and Serious Illness Cover to its LifeQuote software.
The move means advisers using LifeQuote will have access to, among other products, PruProtect's Serious Illness Cover, which includes up to 154 illnesses compared with an industry average of less than 30.
LifeQuote now provides support to 10 major protection offices via 5,000 advice firms, enabling them to access its Express Underwriting tele-interviewing and administration services.
"We have long admired the DLPS model and are delighted to be working with their distribution partners," says Iain Clark, UK sales director for PruProtect.
"This is a significant opportunity for PruProtect to continue its recent expansion into the UK protection market."
Neil McCarthy, sales and marketing director at DLPS, says: "The adoption of a broad range of serious illness cover rather than a traditional critical illness approach gives advisers more choice, whilst the ability to reduce premiums through the vitality programme will be attractive to many consumers."IFAonline
