Schroders has confirmed Riitta Hujanen will take over from outgoing European head Denis Clough.
Hujanen, from Montanaro Fund Managers, will also take the Schroder IFF Euro Active Value fund reins from Leon Howard-Spink.
Clough will leave Schroders at the end of November and is understood to want a complete break from fund management.
He has run Schroder European for last two years, having spent the majority of his career in Japan. Clough was in the Far East for nearly 20 years, controlling the Schroder Tokyo fund.
Hujanen currently runs the Montanaro Absolute Return fund and the Montanaro European Income fund.
