Credit Suisse has today announced the appointment of Yong-Moon Kim as a managing director and head of global equities for asset management.
Kim joins Credit Suisse from Hong Kong based Mirae Asset Global Investment Management where he was managing director and chief investment officer and has over 17 years of investment management experience.
According to Credit Suisse, Kim will manage a team of four portfolio managers and two assistant portfolio managers based in Zurich and will manage CHF 3.7bn in the global equities markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Kim says: “I am delighted to be joining a growing team at a very exciting time for Credit Suisse and I look forward to the challenges that my new role will bring.”
Kim Goodwin, head of equities for asset management at Credit Suisse, adds: “This appointment is another step in the enhancement of our investment capabilities in equities and in our continuing effort to build our equities business around the world.
“It follows a number of appointments announced recently of equity portfolio managers based in both London and Sydney.”
Kim’s appointment is the eleventh by Credit Suisse recently as the company attempts to grow its asset management business around the world.
