The Financial Ombudsman Service has created a new page on its website focusing on the specific issues and questions raised by smaller businesses.
The page is arranged into general topics, such as how the ombudsman handles cases and its rules and powers, and these are then split into further frequently asked questions.
Each question has a short answer which includes links to relevant sections elsewhere on the website and to the web versions of other FOS publications.
David Cresswell, press officer at the FOS, says the information has previously been presented in booklets and guides, but he believes small businesses are not interested in reading entire documents.
He states: “Small businesses want answers to particular questions and I hope the site really picks up on the questions and issues they have.”
