Keith Skeoch, chief executive of Standard Life Investments, has replaced ABI Investment Committee chairman Chris Phillips, who died earlier this year
Philips held the role from June 2006.
Skeoch became Standard Life Investments chief executive officer in 2004 and joined the company’s board in 2006. He moved to Standard Life after 19 years at James Capel & Co, now HSBC Securities, where he took up the role of managing director of international equities in 1998.
Skeoch says in his new role he will help to “ensure that the industry is fully engaged in the key UK, European and international debates that affect the future of capital markets and our ability to deliver effectively for our customers".
