Wealth management advisory firm St. James's Place has confirmed the group's managing director has been appointed as its new chief executive with immediate effect.
David Bellamy initially took over responsibility for the day to day running of the group in January, after previous CEO Mark Lund stepped down in a joint decision with the Board to “seek fresh challenges”.
The firm says Bellamy’s appointment follows a “thorough search process” conducted by the Nomination Committee, which was chaired by Michael Sorkin, the senior independent non executive director.
Mike Wilson, chairman of St James Place, says: “Our decision to appoint David is a reflection of the Board's confidence in his experience and proven management ability. David has been with St James's Place since the Group's inception 15 years ago. He is highly thought of both internally and externally."
And Bellamy adds: “We have an excellent and very experienced management team and I look forward to working with them to continue to grow the business.”
