Sanjeev Shah's Special Situations fund is one of four Fidelity UK retail vehicles to receive a fresh OBSR rating.
OBSR has awarded an A rating to the former Anthony Bolton-managed fund, with an A also given to the firm’s Global Special Situations and Sterling Bond offerings.
Fidelity’s MoneyBuilder Income fund has been upgraded from an AA to AAA rating.
“Having met with Sanjeev Shah and Jorma Korhonen, Global Special Situations manager, on a number of occasions both before and after the official handover from Anthony Bolton, our overall conviction in the managers and their approach has led us to award both Special Situations and Global Special Situations funds an A rating,” OBSR research director Richard Romer-Lee says.
“We are also introducing new ratings for two of Fidelity's fixed income funds. Fund manager Ian Spreadbury has a great deal of experience and is supported by Fidelity’s team of portfolio managers and sector analysts based around the world.
“The new ratings recognise that Ian has demonstrated the effectiveness of his approach over the cycle.”IFAonline
