The National Skills Academy for Financial Services in Norwich has appointed Amanda Allen as Director.
Allen will be responsible for maintaining the Academy's position as one of the foremost centres of specialist financial services training in the UK.
As well as maintaining and generating relationships with employers and businesses from across the financial services sector, she will be responsible for meeting the financial and performance targets of the Academy.
She will also advise on policy issues and take a lead role in the development of the Academy's staff.
Allen says she believes it has never been more essential for financial services workers in the UK to equip themselves with the skills they will need for their future career development.
"By providing a dynamic environment for students to learn the key skills they need and presenting an attractive incentive for businesses to come together, the Academy supports the growth of the economy and shapes the future training of the financial services sector," she says.
Courses on offer at the National Skills Academy include generic introductions to financial services, certificated qualifications for financial advisers and specific courses for the insurance, mortgage and pensions sectors.
