Old Mutual Asset Managers has boosted its fixed interest team after recruiting fund manager Richard Stevens.
Stevens, who joined OMAM on July 2, was previously associate director of government bonds at Legal & General Investment Management.
Prior to this he was head of government bonds at ISIS Investment Management, who have now merged with F&C, where he was responsible for government bond funds.
He started his career at specialist fixed income manager Whittingdale.
Andrew Tunks, head of fixed interest at OMAM, says: “We are delighted that Richard is joining us and his appointment marks a further step in the strengthening of the OMAM fixed interest team.
“He has considerable experience of investing in government bond markets gained at leading investment companies.
“OMAM continues to deliver very strong performance across its range of retail and institutional fixed interest funds and Richard will play an important role in helping us to maintain that performance.”
