Baillie Gifford has expanded its fixed income capabilities, poaching bond experts from SWIP and Aegon.
Duncan Sutherland joins from SWIP where he had specific knowledge of structured bond products, while Donald Phillips has come from Aegon, having specialised in investment grade corporate bonds.
They will both focus on global credit, working for Stephen Rodger, partner responsible for corporate bond products at Baillie Gifford.
Rodger said: “These latest hires help strengthen and deepen our credit expertise. I think Duncan and Donald will make a tremendous contribution.”
Susan Swindells also joins Baillie Gifford as a client service director, working for Ken Barker, partner responsible for developing the company’s bond business globally.
Swindells will service institutional clients and help with new product development. She was previously with Fischer Francis Trees & Watts where she managed credit portfolios.
