Investment management firm Wise Speke will adopt its parent company name - Brewin Dolphin - from early 2008.
The firm says its name change will be used to build the business by harnessing the Brewin Dolphin network profile and expertise.
Wise Speke currently has over 300 staff in its Newcastle, Teesside and Keswick offices.
“Back in 1998, when we first joined the Brewin Dolphin group, we celebrated becoming part of a business that was totally focused on investment management and generating wealth for our private clients, charities and pension funds,” Wise Speke Newcastle head Charles May says.
“Initially we chose to retain the Wise Speke name, but now we have decided to move even further forward and adopt the Brewin Dolphin name, harnessing the additional strengths this brings.
“We believe that over 100 years of high quality service and sound working practice will not only be enhanced by Brewin Dolphin’s progressive reputation, but also provide us with an ideal platform to expand our business in the region yet further.”
