Consumers want to access their pensions savings in the event of unemployment or illness and would like to see some of simple risk indicator on financial products, according to a joint investigation.
A study conducted by public affairs and lobbying specialists Cicero Consulting along with Brahm Research suggests almost two-thirds of the 1,000 consumers questioned (63%) believe they should be able to access their pension savings – as they can with the US’s 401k retirement plan – in times of unemployment or illness. Perhaps more importantly, more than eight out of ten consumers agreed with Treasury Select Committee proposals for a simple risk assessment system or indicator of the risks associated with any policy or product.
