Fabien Pictet and Partners has created a new Asia excluding-Japan hedge fund, the FPP Golden Asia.
The Cayman registered, Dublin listed OEIC will seed assets from Jade Absolute Fund Managers. Current Korea fund co-manager, Joon Ho Byun, will manage the fund while Jade director Marcus Dodd will consult FPP. The company says the fund will look for returns in Asian ex-Japan equities and fixed income. “We believe that Asia will continue to be a source of growth as well as returns for the foreseeable future and should form an integral part of a diversified portfolio for institutional investors and high net worth individuals alike,” Byun says.
