Fidelity Income Plus and Growth + Income manager John Stavis is taking a six-month sabbatical and will hand over control of the funds from 1 July.
Two long-serving research analysts will take over from Stavis, with Michael Clark leading the £653m FIF Income Plus fund and Matt Siddle handed the reins of the £226 million FIF Growth + Income fund.
Following the six-month break, Stavis is expected to return to a new role at the firm in 2009.
“John’s decision to take a well-earned sabbatical after 13 straight years in investment management creates the opportunity for Fidelity to assign UK retail portfolios to two more of our highly experienced research analysts in the UK equity team,” Fidelity International CIO Nicky Richards says.
“The investment styles of Michael and Matt are ideally suited to their new portfolio assignments.”IFAonline
