Otto Thoresen has been appointed chief executive of AEGON UK, moving up from his current position as finance director.
The appointment places Thoresen in the hot seat by March next year, in turn placing Mark Laidlaw in the position of chief financial officer.
Laidlaw has previously held numerous positions within the group, having started out with Scottish Equitable in the late 1980s, and moving up to become financial integration director after the acquisition of Guardian Royal Exchange.IFAonline
