Gartmore hires Lanning as MM deputy

Gartmore is set to replace outgoing multi-manager deputy head Marcus Brookes with Tony Lanning.

In addition, Katie Trowsdale will also join the firm as senior analyst. Lanning, set to join the firm next month, arrives from private bank Arbuthnot Latham & Co, where he was head of collectives research. Prior to this he spent six years as director of research and investment at Origen, part of Aegon. Trowsdale has over seven years experience in funds research and will be joining from Kleinwort Benson, where she was fund research analyst responsible for selecting and monitoring funds.
