Standard Life has moved to limit redemptions in its property funds by introducing a queuing system
Six unit linked life and pension products are affected, with customers wanting to switch, transfer or surrender their investments having to wait up to six months for their requests.
SL cited the difficult market for commercial property, making sales harder and reducing profits.
A statement from the company reads: "We will continue to accept new business, further investments, transfers and switches into these funds, however we will proactively make advisers and customers aware of the current situation before they invest."Investment Week
