Sims named as Zurich UK life ceo

Managing director of Zurich International Solutions, David Sims, has been announced as the new chief executive of Zurich UK's life business.

Having been at Zurich group since 1993, Sims will take on the ceo role following the departure last month of Lawrence Churchill. Sims joined the Allied Dunbar in 1993 as marketing director, and has since worked his way up as UK life developing distribution director, but may be better known for his time spent as group marketing director of Zurich Financial Services UK, Ireland and South Africa. He will report to Paul van de Geijn, ceo of the Zurich Group global life insurance business. IFAonline
