Matthew Stemp, head of UBS Global Asset Management UK, has been appointed to the board of the Investment Management Association (IMA).
Stemp will also take over the role of chairman of the IMA’s Institutional Business Committee, after John Troiano, head of global institutional business at Schroders, stepped down at the end of his four year term.
Stemp was appointed to the role at the IMA’s Annual General Meeting last night.
Robert Jenkins, chairman of the IMA, comments: “A leading industry body needs to draw its Board from the leaders of the industry. The appointment of Matthew Stemp maintains that tradition for the IMA. I am grateful to him for agreeing to serve.
“I also thank John Troiano warmly for his outstanding service over the last four years, both as Chairman of one of our main Committees and as a member of the Board.”
